Chillin. (1-1 Akira and Castile ATM)

It was early morning, the sun just started rising, and Akira was up in her usual spot, a patch of grass under a shady tree which overlooked the beautiful gleaming lake. It felt so peaceful. Like no one could harm her here. The past few nights she had been having violent nightmares, so she hadn't been sleeping much at the dorm. She decided to slip here and finally calm down.

Castile

Calmly sits by the lake and skips stones across the water. Not taking any notice to Akira as he is clearly lost in his own world.

Akira notices the sudden ripples going across the lake, and looked up to see Castile. She smiled, then remembering the awkward situation from before she thought she should apologize. Akira stood, brushing off blades of grass from the bottom of her dress, then approached him. "Oh hey Castile!" She called out.

Castile

(snaps out of his thoughts and looks at Akira) "Oh. good morning Akira. Nice to see you again."

Akira nodded. "Yeah. I'm sorry about destiny last time though.." She scratched the back of her head, not looking at him directly.

Castile

"Oh thats quite alright but, why are you up so early?

"Oh.. I just couldn't sleep last night. Haha.. H-how about you? Akira changed the subject to him quickly.

Castile

smirks and makes his eyes flash red. "Demons don't sleep. And why the subject change so suddenly?"

"Ahaha.. I don't know what you're talking about.." She terribly tried to cover up.

Castile

Clearly doesnt believe her and stands up to face her. "I want to be someone you trust Akira. You can tell me."

"Ahh.. It's hard. I've only trusted two people since I.. became what I am.." Akira looked up at him, "but I guess I can try." She smiled, then turned her head to the sky. "Lately I've been having these nightmares.. They feel so real.. I'm scared to go to sleep.." Akira mumbled the last part under her breath.

Castile

"Do you share a room with someone?" He puts a hand on her shoulder in an attempt to be comforting.

She jumped at the sudden touch. The dreams she had been having made her always on guard. "Even though it's not official, Destiny sleeps in my room often".

Castile

Pulls his hand away worried that he had scared her. "And being with someone doesn't help?"

Akira gave him an 'I'm sorry' look, then shifted her gaze to the ground. "Not.. really. In fact I'm a bit more nervous, because I care a lot about her.. but I'm scared that I might put her in danger. She isn't as tough as she acts." Akira smiled slightly at the last part, picturing Destiny puffing out her chest like a child, vowing to protect her, but the smile quickly faded when she imagined Destiny getting hurt.

Castile

"Hmm... Stay here." Castile runs off for about 15 minutes before returning holding something behind his back. "I have an idea."

Akira peered curiously at Castile. "And what's that idea?" She asked.

Castile

He holds out a teddy bear to Akira. "Uh.. I just thought that maybe if you would sleep with something that you cant hurt... It would help." He awkwardly looks off to the side.

She smiled, a true hearted one that she hadn't smiled in a while. Akira took the soft to the touch brown teddy bear, tracing it's ears with her finger. She looked back up at him again and smiled. "Thanks." Akira said.

Castile

"Uhm Yeah..." He says awkwardly. "I hope it helps." For once in a long time he felt the urge to smile but pushed it down and remained passive.

Castile

"Well seeing as we are both up so early." Blushes slightly. "Would you like to join me for tea at the cafe?"

"Oh sure, sounds great!" Akira nodded, hugging the stuffed bear to her chest.

Castile

Nods and turns away before allowing himself to smile. This girl was really getting to him.
